Are Twitter Book Communities Actually Any Good?

Are Twitter Book Communities Actually Any Good?

Features
I was recently invited to a Twitter Community for lovers of Books. Currently, there are about 1,000 of us in this community. Twitter states that "Twitter Communities were created to give people a dedicated place to connect, share, and get closer to the discussions they care about most." But is being in a Book Community as good as it sounds? Pin me to Pinterest! Everybody reading this likely has some sort of affection towards reading or books themselves (I don't know, maybe you just like to sniff them.) Therefore, the idea that Twitter has created these areas on their social media channel which are dedicated to talking solely about books is really exciting, right? Well, yes mostly. Except for a few major flaws. And here they are: Flaws You Don't…

After looking across the web for some of the best things book readers should definitely pick up that may maybe hadn't thought of before. Below are just some of the great things I've found that I will definitely be picking up!! Please note that this article contains affiliate links. Affiliate links mean that if you choose to…

I Asked my Twitter Followers for their Saddest Books

I Asked my Twitter Followers for their Saddest Books

Features
Twitter is a fantastic place to engage your audience with questions that ask them to give their opinion. It's a place where you can gain knowledge, get some book ideas or, in this case at least, get some great content to create a really useful blog post for others. Recently I created a post that showed some of the responses I received when I asked my Twitter followers which books they thought had the best twist in them. It was a tweet that received so many responses that I wanted to share as part of an article to not only give you all some options of books to read to guarantee a good twist but also provide my audience with some genuinely great content. That article turned out to be…

My 5 Most Read Blog Posts from February 2022

My 5 Most Read Blog Posts from February 2022

Features, Monthly Round Ups
At the start of each month, I highlight the best performing posts throughout the previous month. I only include articles I actually posted throughout that month and they're written in order. I don't do this to brag, it is to highlight what posts work well and which possibly don't for those prospective bloggers. Here are the most successful blog posts from the month of February 2022. Throughout February there were slightly less articles for a couple of reasons: there were two less days and also I didn\'t read as many books as I was self-isolating so I didn't actually have as much content to write about. However, there were still some very successful blog posts to discuss, including one that has gone on to be one of my most successful…

My February 2022 Reading Round-up

My February 2022 Reading Round-up

Features, Monthly Round Ups
A couple of factors added into the fewer amount of books I managed to finish this month: mostly a combination of different forms of isolation from Covid. This meant that I didn't have as much time to plug in to my audiobooks which is generally how I get through as many books as I do. [caption id="attachment_1772" align="aligncenter" width="400"] Pin me to Pinterest![/caption] Please note that this article contains affiliate links. This means that if you choose to purchase any products via the links below to support the blog, I will receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. These affiliate links do not affect my opinion of the products themselves. Therefore throughout Feburary, I read three books. One of them was particularly long and the other two…

Book Reader Problems Book tag

Book Reader Problems Book tag

Blog Tags, Features
Hi! I'm back once again with another book tag. Today's book tag is the Book Reader Problems Book tag which focuses on problems that all book readers face. These are things such as having too many books on your TBR and having to choose between them or trying to keep up with your reading challenge. I've had to adapt some of my answers to the questions as I'm not your typical reader (not every book I read is a physical copy). However, there are some great questions in here that I think pretty much any reader can relate to. Let me know if you end up doing this tag and if you do, make sure to link back to this page or tag me on whichever social media platform is…

My Twitter followers named these the best books with a twist

Features
I love Twitter for this blog. It's a fantastic platform that, out of all of the social media channels, offers up the most real and genuine interaction between me and my followers. Twitter offers up a much broader audience than my Instagram and offers me any sort of audience over my Facebook page! On Twitter, I often put out a question to my near 2,000 followers on different bookish things to keep them engaged and to genuinely find out more about the reading community. Some examples of questions I've asked over the past few months that have resulted in some good engagement are: Do you read the epilogues of books? pic.twitter.com/L7bN18oTyc— Luke's blog 📚 Book reviewer and blogger (@Lukesblog1) January 30, 2022 and What's the one fantasy series you'd recommend…

Blogger Spotlight on The Livi Chronicles

Blogger Spotlights, Features
Welcome back to another Blogger Spotlight. For these articles, I have sent out a request to anybody who would be interested in having their blog shown on another blog to reach out and answer some questions for me. Today I'll be highlighting The Livi Chronicles, a book and lifestyle blog run by Livi. Both a fan of books and a fan of fashion, food and other trends, Livi set up a blog that would allow her to fulfil her passion for writing as well. Since writing these questions, she's looking to broaden her horizons to include a wider range of content on her blog. What made you get into blogging? I have always wanted to create a platform to share my writing and connect with other writers and overall meet…

November was a month in which I tried to some slightly different articles. As I run out of a backlog of books on my Goodreads to review, I am writing more original content that I hope will help people. The Seven Spectacular Books I Read in January 2022

Features, Monthly Round Ups
In the first month of the year, I decided I wanted to start the year off strong and pick up some of the thrillers that had been sitting on my TBR list for far too long. On top of this, I also stumbled across two corkers that I hadn't even heard of until about a day before I bought them. As well as a huge array of thrillers, I managed to finish the penultimate Harry Potter book and also squeeze in a book that many people say changed their lives - but did it change mine? Find links to all of the books I've reviewed below and links to pick up your own copy too if you so wish.
