Welcome back to another monthly article where I round the top five most-read articles I wrote in the previous month. As always, I organise these from least most-read to most most-read.

I do this for a couple of reasons: mostly as advice for others who are looking for ideas on what they can be posting about and specifically if you’re a book blogger, which books are popular.
Another reason is that it’s always good fun to be able to look back and see which articles did well for me each month.
So, what I do each month is, as I mentioned above, list the top most-read articles. I’ve then provided an extract from each of the articles to give you an idea of what they’re about. I’ve also then included a link to said article.
For the articles that are book reviews, I’ve also included a link to the book so you can quickly go and purchase the books.
So let’s get into the articles that performed the best that I posted in July.

“Carrie Soto is Back isn’t my favourite Taylor Jenkins Reid book. However, it is still a brilliant book about the very interesting fictional life of Carrie Soto and, as with many of her other books, it details the hardships of the absolute peak of success in your field. The plot is fast but poignant at the times it needs to be and the characters and their relationships are real and utterly enjoyable. It doesn’t quite reach the peaks of Daisy Jones and the Six or The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo but it still stands out as a great book to read if you’re a fan of the aforementioned.”

4. 93 Blog Post Ideas for Every Blog Niche
“Therefore, what I’ve done is go out and scour all of the blogging sites for some different blog titles, plenty of each for each niche. Many of the choices below are random blog titles that I’ve thought of on the spot over a few days. Also, there’s absolutely no logic to the number of actual articles post suggestions under each niche.
Hopefully, if you’ve got writer’s block or imagination block, there may be something down below that you can use as inspiration for your next blog.”
3. The Four Books I Read In July and What I Thought About Them
“As I said, it wasn’t the most prolific month of the year but Before They Are Hanged is one of my favourite books of the year so far so that’s great.
I also introduced myself to Tribe of the Accord which was kindly sent to me by Shaun Michael Stone himself. It’s a unique book set in a very interesting time of tribes and wilderness. It follows a young woman who loses her father and must search to find out who took him and why. It’s a very unique tale that I’m glad I read.”
2. Before They Are Hanged by Joe Abercrombie book review
“Before They Are Hanged feels very similar to the first novel – the characters are incredible and the plot was a little lacklustre. However, having grown more attached to these phenomenally-written characters, their layers and depth and having a plot where Abercrombie is introducing us to more of the world mean this is a better book than the first in almost every way. Abercrombie is one of the greatest character-writers I’ve ever had the joy of reading and this makes the stories he writes so much more interesting because you genuinely care about each of the journeys these characters are going on. If you enjoyed The Blade Itself you’ll absolutely adore Before They Are Hanged.“

1. The Best Books I’ve Read This Year So Far (2023)
“That’s my list of the absolute best books I’ve read this year. I’m sure we can all agree that I’ve read some absolute bangers this year. I’m not sure if I can quite pick out my absolute favourite yet and I know I have a couple on my TBR that I’m incredibly excited to read and which may yet feature in my final list at the end of the year.”
In summary…
The first thing I’m very impressed by is that the article about the books I read in July is the third most-read article from the month. Which, considering I posted it on the very last day of the month, is incredibly impressive.
I can’t say I’m surprised to see the ‘best books I’ve read so far this year’ article at the top as it’s literally the peak of book blogging offering up people’s ‘best of’ lists!
There are only two book reviews on this list this month which is great! Usually, I only put on book reviews as that’s often what I post throughout the month, however in July I tried posting some slightly different articles this month.
