At the start of each month, I highlight the best performing posts throughout the previous month. I only include articles I actually posted throughout that month and they’re written in order. I don’t do this to brag, it is to highlight what posts work well and which possibly don’t for those prospective bloggers. Here are the most successful blog posts from the month of February 2022.
Throughout February there were slightly less articles for a couple of reasons: there were two less days and also I didn\’t read as many books as I was self-isolating so I didn’t actually have as much content to write about. However, there were still some very successful blog posts to discuss, including one that has gone on to be one of my most successful posts ever.

5. Book review of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azakaban by J.K. Rowling
The fifth most successful article from this month was my review of the third book in the Harry Potter series, The Prisoner of Azkaban. It’s a book series that always receives a lot of love because it has gone on to transcend all forms of media. It’s one of, if not the, most successful IP of all time. This third book is one of the more interesting in the series as it offers something slightly different to the previous two and also introduces us to some very important characters who will go on to define the rest of the series.

4. The Seven Spectacular Books I Read in January 2022
Every month I do a round up of the books I read throughout the month and, I believe for the first time, this list appears as one of the top five articles I read throughout February. This could be due to me having a larger bookish audience on my social media channels than before. Or maybe I did something slightly different with my promotion of this article than I usually do.
Either way, I definitely think it’s an article series worth looking out for each month if you’re someone who always likes finding new books.
3. My 5 Most Read Blog Posts from January
As above, I’m quite surprised to see this article in the top five as it’s not usually one that appears in it. However, I’m very happy as it means people are starting to become more interested in the bloggging side of what I do. Yes, the majority of my content is about books and don’t we all love books? But I always want to offer up guidance for those looking to getting into blogging.
It’s great to see people interested in finding out the articles which did the best on my blog throughout the month. This is a great resource series of articles for those looking to get into blogging as it can offer you some potentially fresh ideas of what works and what doesn’t work. This is actually quite meta writing about these articles inside one of these articles. But there you go.
2. Book review of A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
I never doubted this review would do well. A Court of Thorns and Roses is a book series that if you’ve been anywhere near Bookstagram, BookTwitter or BookTok, you’ll have seen. It’s a book series that I believe satsifies a lot of people’s fantasies when it comes to falling in love with mythical creatures. It wasn’t exactly for me. I wasn’t too pleased with the shallowness of the first half of the book and the lack of plot. However, the second half/final third of the book really picked up the action and introduced us to a world and culture that I could actually find myself getting interested in.

1. My Twitter followers named these the best books with a twist
I often put out questions on my Twitter for people to answer on different bookish questions to see their responses. Not only do these tend to get great engagements as people love to discuss books but they also offer me some great options for books to pick up.
This month I put out the question of which book people thought had the best thriller in and I ended up getting up nearly 90 responses so I thought I would use it as a resource for a blog post.
So I went ahead and compiled some of the most common ansswers and most-liked tweets and put them into an article. You now have a great resource for books that will guarantee to shock you with a twist at some point.
So to summarise…
It was great to see a couple of my round up articles appear in this month’s top articles. Let’s see if this becomes a trend going forward or whether it was just a one-off.
It’s also great to see that a new article idea that offered people books to read simply by using the content from my Twitter did really well also. It’s a simple tool to create content for you lot without having to go out and do hours of research for myself. Does this make me lazy? No, I’d say it makes me resourceful!! If I can get genuine people to recommend books for you guys to read instead of me going out and compiling content from loads of different articles then I’d much rather do it that way.
